Black Walnut Ink

Black walnut ink is made from the seed and hull of the black walnut tree. I collect all of the walnuts my self and extract the ink. The ink is preserved with alcohol and clove. 

Black walnut ink was used historically for early manuscripts and document writing. Today, it carries a deeply earthy, protective energy—often chosen for spellwork, shadow work, and intentional artwork, embodying ancestral wisdom, grounding, and strong spiritual boundaries.

This ink works best on water color paper. The ink is on the thinner side and is not recommended for ink pens. Instead I recommend feathers, sticks, paint brushes. Feel free to experiment. 

The ink can last years in liquid form. It is light fast on paper. 

you can use the ink on regular paper but it takes a few minutes to absorb into the paper.
